Tribal Economic Development Task Force
The Task Force formed as a result of the Growing Economies in Indian Country Workshop hosted by federal agency partners during the summer of 2011. The first meeting, on August 2nd, identified the need to better coordinate tribal economic development efforts on a state-wide basis. At that meeting The Commission of Indian Affairs offered to provide administrative support to the task force as the structure and purpose for the Task Force are defined. The first meeting featured resources available through the Universities and non-profit agencies, the second focused on utilizing CDFI’s to jumpstart Tribal private sector economies.
The next workshop will focus on “Membership Based Organizations” (Date and Location – TBD) Check back for more information!
